Consultation Update to Increase the Pupil Capacity of Ysgol Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd Following the consultation proposal to increase the capacity of Ysgol Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd, the Governing Body would like to thank all consultees who responded and engaged in the consultation. A report was published on the school’s website on 17th November 2021 providing the findings from the consultation, which can be found here. Since publishing the report, the Governing Body have engaged with Denbighshire County Council to discuss the capacity of the school and any potential increases. After reviewing the current capacity alongside the historical school capacity for the previous 5 years and the school organisation code, it is evident that the statutory proposal is not required as the proposed increase is below 25% of the current capacity. Therefore, in line with advice received, the governing body has taken the decision to withdraw the proposal on the basis that it is not legally required. It is the intention of the Governing Body to request that the admission number for Ysgol Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd be amended from 15 to 18 as part of the consultation period on the Admission arrangements for Denbighshire schools for 2023-24.
